MAINTENANCE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR YOUR NEW FLOOR
Congratulations on the purchase of you new floor. In order to protect your investment and keep you timber floor looking in excellent conditions, Eclipse (WA) Pty Ltd recommend the following maintenance programme be established.
- PROTECTIVE PADS: Avoid dragging heavy objects across the floor for the entire life of the coating system. Place protective pads on the base of all furniture likely to be moved for regular usage or maintenance.
- ENTRANCE MATTING: Dirt, grit and sand can be picked up under shoes and trafficked across floor that could damage or severely reduce the life of your floors coating system. Entrance mats should be placed at all external entrances and high traffic areas to minimise the amount of damaging particles scratching or prematurely wearing the floor.
- SWEEP OR VACUUM: Fine dust or dirt may not only create a slippery surface but can also cause the floor to scratch, thus showing signs of a prematurely worn or dulled coating. A regular vacuum or sweep with a soft bristle broom or electro-static mop to remove these particles is advisable. An electro-static mop has been found to be the most effective method available for the function.
- CLEANING: The use of harsh detergents is not recommended to remove any residue from your floor as it may seriously dull or deteriorate the coating system. Timber Floor Cleaner has been specifically formulated for the gentle effective cleaning of your floor it will quickly and effectively remove oil, grease and dirt from your floor without it having any effect on the floors coating system. Regular usage of this product will keep your floor clean and safe as well as enhancing the sheen.
